In the context of the need for Ukraine to transition to sustainable development, it is necessary to develop non-traditional diagnostic technologies (including those that use a complex of geophysical methods) for both the status of ecosystems and the dynamics of anthropogenic impact on the environment. However, geophysical methods have long been developed mainly under the influence geological exploration process, and direct transfer of the accumulated scientific and practical experience to the sphere of solving engineering and environmental problems is impossible. To solve these problems, it is necessary to develop modern modifications of geophysical methods aimed, to a greater extent, at studying the upper part of geological section to solve engineering and environmental problems, and not for "deeper geological exploration" studies. The application of detailed electrical exploration studies in the modification of electrical tomography and detailed 3D modeling of the upper part of geological section in developing engineering and environmental tasks in technogenically loaded territories is shown. The depleted flooded granite open pit on the outskirts of Zaporizhzhia-city, which is used as a storage facility for waste from oil mills, as well as the waste dump of Zhovtneva CPP Joint-Stock Company in Western Donbas were examples of territories for studies.
